This is part II of my previous post, Optimism. These are some additional pictures I took.
“Patience is not the ability to wait, but how you act while you are waiting.”
~Joyce Meyer
In life, to know more, to learn more, to fear less, to be bold, to grow, to truly grow, we have to go thru a journey of experiences. I am a deep thinker, not just a critical thinker. Deep thinking in my opinion is much more profound than critical thinking.
I’ve known many people who stay static for fear of change and for fear of the unknown. I have made some bold moves in my life and I have to admit that while I have done some of those major moves, I have also felt some fear.
Sometimes when I made new decisions in my life and things did not go immediately as planned, I wanted to go back to what was known to me, but then I started to think about the story of Moses from the bible. God took his people out of Egypt, out of the house of slavery, yet when they found some obstacles, they wanted to go back to that very same house of slavery. Instead of looking forward to the new life ahead of them as free people, they started to complain and they started to regret having left the house of slavery. They did not want to face any obstacles. They wanted everything to be perfect on their new journey to freedom. Instead of seeing the blessing of their new freedom, they complained about the obstacles, they found along the way.
Today, I tell you: Do not look back – when obstacles present themselves, keep moving forward and do not turn back. Do not complain when obstacles present themselves. It takes courage to make certain decisions that are life changing in life and it takes even more courage to keep the course and follow thru on your new journey. God is with you – do not be afraid (and even if you are afraid, God will guide you).
God is with you-be grateful every day.
God bless you!
I took these pictures in Plaza San Juan in Bavaro Punta Cana, Dominican Republic
The best view of New York City is not from New York City. The best view of the City is from Boulevard East, a street along Weehawken, West New York, and Guttenberg. Even most Newyorkers do not know about, nor have seen NYC from this side. However, some tour busses are starting to make their way to this side of the Hudson river to appreciate the view and capture it in pictures. The most beautiful view of New York City is not from the Empire State observation deck. It is from the Jersey side across the the Hudson.
If you do not know yet who she is, you will soon find out. Sophia Amoruso, author of #Girlboss, is also the founder and CEO of Nasty Gal, an online fashion store for girls with confidence and attitude. I came across her book while I was at Barnes & Noble.
The Title was initially what caught my attention #Girlboss. As soon as I started reading her book, my admiration for Sophia was instant. I bought the book and read it. She is different. This book is different. She is authentic. On her book, she tells you how she made it…even with ALL the odds against her. She went thru quiet some stuff before she found what she really enjoyed doing, and once she found it, success followed.
I love this book. As a #Girlboss myself, it makes me very happy that a book like this exist. No matter what challenges you go thru in live, never stop believing in yourself, work hard towards your goals and dreams. Pursue happiness and don’t stop pursuing it until you find it.

Last week I mentioned in my previous post that I was invited to the International Beauty Show (IBS) at the Jacob Javits Center. Due to a family emergency, I had to fly out of the country that same evening (after the post) and I did not have the chance to thank the amazing people who invited me to the show. I was able to attend the IBS convention thanks to the people at VIBA academy. In particular I want to thank Vargas and Anabel.
Vargas and Anabel are the founders of Viba Academy. Their work is surreal, and as I was able to observe up close what they do, I felt their passion for what they create. VARGAS is “the artist,” and Anabel is “the beauty.” But they are both artists. Vargas is one of the World’s most famous body paint artists. Anabel is a make up artist and educator. To learn more about Viba Academy and about Vargas and Anabel, go to their website at www.vibaacademy.com.

While at the IBS event, I took advantage of some of the specials. I bought two bottles of Agadir conditioners of 33.8 Fl. Oz. for $38 and I saw the price for each bottle, same size at a local beauty store at $50.00 each bottle. I will post a review about it once I try it.

I also purchased a set of make up brushes by Royal Langnickel for $25. This was another super deal as I had purchased just one brush at a beauty store (not same brand) for the same amount.
This is all for now. Do not forget to read about Vargas and Anabel on their website. These people are inspiring, their work is like a fantasy where they bring the impossible to possible. Thank you for reading and know that you are all beautiful.
With love,
Querin Ventura
